ACPI: Deamon
for acpid at http://sf.net/projects/acpid
Install acpid-1.0.1.tar.gz have a funny way (at least in redhat )
make rpm
and for example use gnorpm to install it.
I made this scripts, that completes a little acpid (but steels incomplete),
copy battery and button to /etc/acpi/events
and copy battery.sh and button.sh to /etc/acpi/actions

Battery status in KDE, (reasonably)

ACPI: Patch specif for some computers (like compaq presario 700)


kacpid-20020611-2.4.18.diff.gz this patch was found in
http://www.pps.jussieu.fr/~jch/software/presario/ (very good page!)
I don't modify any code of kacpid patch, I just adjust to new acpi-patches
Note: this patch can be applied to any new ACPI sub system (acpi20020709 and acpi20020726)
